Who we are
TECO is an Italian family company founded in 1988, built on decades of refrigeration expertise. Our roots trace back to the early 1950s, when the Turci family began developing cooling systems for specialised applications, laying the foundations of a solid technical tradition. Over time, this experience has evolved into four dedicated divisions,
Hydroponics, Aquariology, Ho.re.ca and Sport, each serving distinct markets while sharing the same engineering culture and manufacturing standards. Today TECO is recognised internationally for its technical discipline, product reliability and commitment to energy-conscious design across applications.
Our Story
1950 - 1960
Origins
Ezio and Bruno Turci join the family business, already focused on cooling technologies. Later, they start their own company and produce DC refrigerators for boats and caravans, along with chillers and portable cooling units.

1970 - 1980
Innovation
In 1970, the team launches INDEL and keeps developing solutions for boats and caravans. INDEL also reaches major milestones, including an orbital refrigeration system for NASA’s Challenger and Columbia space shuttles.
1988
Vision
After selling INDEL to the Berloni Group, Ezio and Bruno Turci team up with Stelio Bubani and launch TECO. They focus on products for the commercial sector and aquariology from the very beginning.

Expansion
TECO grows internationally by listening closely to market needs and responding with dependable, high-quality
2012
Growth
TECO moves into the retail sector after building a strong position in Ho.re.ca and filing its first patent for foodservice monoblock units already in 2001.

TECO developed a product specifically for the emerging hydroponics sector, where maintaining controlled water temperature is essential.
